Te Whare Whānau Pūrotu Inc - Māori Women’s Refuge is dedicated to supporting whanau to live violence free. We have an opportunity for an individual with a passion for our community.

This role is responsible for all managing and maintaining the safe house, ensuring we have a safe and secure place for clients; overseeing the compliance and property management and ensuring the house maintains a sense of calm.
At the same time, the role co-ordinates the crisis line and admission rosters with the wider team and training volunteers who are key to supporting us to provide this service.
A key member of the FVIARS team, you will ensure our service is represented and advocate & support clients allocated to our refuge. Donations are a key task under this role, management of all donations will be your challenge.
The ideal person will be a professional with a sound understanding and knowledge in the family violence field who approaches work in a way that is whanau-centric, non-judgmental, holding strength and solution-based conversations.
A social work qualification or significant work experience in the social sector is desirable as is a background in delivering a high level of service within a context of confidentiality, cultural sensitivity and respect is preferred. You will be a strong administrator to ensure Record base is kept up to date at all times.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, there is a level of flexibility with work hours and location as required.
Suitable applicants will be required to undergo a Police check as part of the recruitment process and be Family Violence free for over two years would be preferred.
